Serving veterans, families, employers, & Non-profits
We help Veterans & their Families find careers that last — and employers keep them.
Vine & Branch bridges the military-civilian cultural gap before the hiring process begins — connecting veterans, businesses, and nonprofits for meaningful, lasting employment.
Military transition is hard. It doesn't have to be rushed.
Most veterans are handed a checklist and wished good luck. We believe transition should be a team effort — with employers, nonprofits, and families all at the table from the start.Â
THE OLD WAY
Last-minute scramble
Hiring windows open only 90 days out, when stress is highest and options are limited. Transitioning military families generally do not have inside network built into established industries or companies.Â
Relationship-first, early start
A BETTER WAY
Building connections at month 18+ so by month 6 Veterans and their families have real options — not just job boards, Hiring Managers pressed for time, and ATS platforms to conquer. Â
THE OLD WAY
Family left behind
Employers and nonprofits often guess at what veterans need — and veterans guess at what employers expect. Spouses and families navigate transition separately, without shared tools or support. This pattern results in high turnover and struggling families.Â
A BETTER WAY
Shared understanding
We bring veterans, employers, and all type of nonprofits together to build roles, culture, and mutual support that lasts, benefiting local communities. Transition planning that includes your whole household — career, location, schools, and identity.
OUR SERVICES
Strategic partnerships with clear intent for lasting success
Proactive — not reactive — approaches to employment that work for everyone.
Cultural fit analysis
Grounded in Prosci Change Management methodology.
Data suggests that a lack of "cultural fit" is a driving force behind high Veteran turnover rates. Vine & Branch Consulting believes this term is vague, but it demands a better understanding to help our stakeholders.
Shared understanding of words & terms like "leadership" matter! Our unique cultural fit analysis process will create awareness early in the process for employers and potential new hires.
Compensation is a common misunderstanding for transitioning military families and a source of frustration for many employers. Our cultural fit analysis will work with real numbers and help military families understand how much their compensation is worth within a community.Â
Advancement Opportunities and utilizing full potential is a hot topic for many military families. Our comprehensive Cultural Fit Analysis will answer these questions and others like it. Â
We develop shared understanding early!
Stakeholder alignment
Connect already regionally aligned veterans & their families, employers, and nonprofits before the need becomes urgent. Ensure relationships are mutually supportive and sustainable. Vine & Branch's (V&B) priority of effort for placement is:
Employer Military Culture Fit Complete > Desired Location Identification > Desired Industry Chosen > Compensation Requirements Identified > Desired Employers Identified > Non-Profit Introductions > Informational Interviews Conducted > Veteran & Family Cultural Fit Matching >Â Skill Analysis & Alignment > Offer & Selection >Â V&B Paid by Employer for Services > V&B Pays Partnered Non-Profits for Services > Onboarding & 24 Month Support at no cost.Â
Non-Profit & Employer Alingment
The key for V&B's success is the forging of relationships between local employers and local non-profits. Why is this important? Great non-profit organizations know the employers in their communities and can open doors, helping build relationships early with employers and non-profits alike.
Partnering with V&B early in a military family transition, before hiring demands become critical for employers and before non-profits face a funding crisis, is more powerful than hoping AI, ATS, and job boards will bring the right people to your communities and companies!
As the founder of Vine & Branch Consulting, I believe simple conversations can solve complex problems. Conversations can uncover unknown potential for growth and solutions! I want to know you and your respective organizations because, knowing you helps me match the right military family to your community. Yes, I am a Bob Ross fan.Â

Reputable local non-profit organizations assist Vine & Branch (V&B) consulting with introductions to local business leaders.Alignment and cultural fit assessments that decode veteran experience & understand a company's cultural environment are performed.Identify hiring forecast windows. This allows V&B to begin reaching out to transitioning military families.
Companies are aligning hiring forecasts based on project timelines. Informational interviews are conducted once all assessments are completed. V&B provides tailored resume support and practice interview sessions to build confidence. V&B facilitates interviews with Hiring Managers and the actual people our clients will work for.
V&B treats military transition much like a normal permanent change of station (PCS). We will work to find great Realtors if needed. V&B can assist with salary negotiation. V&B is paid by companies to make great placements, and V&B donates at least 10% of its earnings to partnered Non-profit organizations.
We offer free career consulting services. V&B also has the ability to network with locally certified counselors. A percentage of V&Bs revenue is set aside automatically for Counselor fees. Mediation services are offered free of charge at stakeholder request.
